We created this recipe because we were looking for a healthy, delicious, and fluffy recipe that was simple to make for Valentine’s Day breakfast. This recipe used the DASH Mini Waffle Maker, but any size or shape of waffle maker will work great.

How to Make Fluffy Homemade Waffles from Scratch

  1. First, preheat your waffle iron.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix together your flour, Sugar and Baking Powder.
  3. In a separate medium sized bowl, beat your eggs. Next, add your Greek Yogurt, Whole Milk, and Vanilla Extract. Stir until well combined.
  4. After, pour your wet ingredients into your dry ingredients and mix well.
  5. Add about a tablespoon of Butter to your preheated waffle iron. Depending on the size of your waffle iron, pour 1 to 2 tablespoons of batter onto your waffle iron.
  6. Finally, cook until your waffle is nicely browned on both sides.

Toppings to Serve with Fluffy Homemade Waffles

If you want to take this dish to the next level, consider adding toppings. We recommend:

  • Fresh fruit such as Raspberries, Strawberries, Sliced Bananas, or Blueberries
  • Whipped Cream
  • Maple Syrup

What to Serve with This Dish

These waffles are great with fried chicken and syrup to create Chicken and Waffles.

  • 2 teaspoons of Baking Powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
  • 1 stick of Salted Butter for your waffle iron

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix together your flour, Sugar and Baking Powder.

To save time, double your dry ingredients, place half of the dry ingredients in a 16-ounce glass jar, and cover with a lid. When you are ready to make another batch of waffles, you just need to add your wet ingredients.
