How to Make Baked Goat Cheese with Fig Jam and Pecans

Time needed: 20 minutes

  1. Preheat the Oven

    Preheat the oven to 325°F.

  2. Prepare the Goat Cheese

Spread 8 oz of goat cheese in a small, shallow oven-safe baking dish. (We recommend a 9 x 6 baking dish). Press the cheese down slightly to create an even surface for the toppings.

  3. Add the Fig Jam and Pecans

Next, spread 3 tablespoons of fig jam evenly on top of the goat cheese. The fig jam adds a wonderful, fruity sweetness that perfectly complements the goat cheese’s tanginess.

Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the top of the fig jam.

  4. Bake the Goat Cheese

Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is warm and slightly softened.

  5. Add the Toppings

Once the goat cheese is baked, remove the dish from the oven. Drizzle 1 teaspoon of honey over the top of the cheese.

Add a few fresh rosemary sprigs on top of the baked goat cheese. The rosemary adds a fragrant, herbal note that balances out the sweetness of the figs and honey. (Optional)

  6. Serve and Enjoy

Serve the baked goat cheese with crackers, crostini, or sliced baguette for dipping. This dish is perfect as a party appetizer or a savory snack to enjoy on your own.
