The secret to the best guacamole you will ever make? Fresh and wholesome ingredients. We always make this recipe with fresh store-bought ingredients in the winter, and pick them fresh from the garden in the summer. You can truly taste each and every ingredient.
With only 7 simple ingredients – Hass avocados, Roma tomatoes, garlic, yellow onion, cilantro, lime, and salt, you’ll be eager to create this dish each and every week.
Our secret to a great tasting dish? Hand chop your cilantro leaves and ensure all of your ingredients are super fresh. We also like to use yellow onions for a slightly sweet flavor, but purple onions also work great.
How to Strip Your Cilantro from the Stems
While you can pull your Cilantro leaves off of the stem by hand, we like to use an herb stripper. We like to use the Chef’n Kale & Greens Stripper. After we strip the leaves from the stems, we quickly chop our Cilantro leaves and create our Guacamole.

Ingredients
- 3 Hass avocados, peeled and pitted
- 2 Roma tomatoes, diced
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/2 yellow onion, diced
- 4 tablespoons of Cilantro leaves, chopped
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 teaspoon of salt
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, smash the avocados.
- Mix in Roma tomatoes, Garlic, yellow onion, Cilantro leaves, and lime juice. Stir in salt, and add more as needed.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving for best flavor.
