Hey ya’ll, I’m Courtney! I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana with a passion for exceptional food and southern hospitality.
Growing up in the South, I learned early on that everything is centered around food and fellowship. My upbringing has given me a deep appreciation and love for good food.
From a young age, I found that I had a passion for creativity. During my time in college, I began blogging and content writing for various clients in a range of industries. I graduated with a BBA in Marketing from Baylor University in 2017, and was seeking a creative outlet outside of my 9 to 5.
One thing led to another, and my mom and I decided to create The Southern Spoonful. I am so thankful for our corner on the internet.
My hope is that this space brings you a piece of southern comfort and joy in the form of our favorite southern (and healthy) recipes.
